¹⁷ He did these things to ·bring about [fulfill] what Isaiah the prophet had said:

People Want to Follow Jesus^(A)

¹⁸ When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he ·told [instructed; ordered] his ·followers [disciples] to ·go [cross] to the other side of the lake. ¹⁹ Then a ·teacher of the law [scribe] came to Jesus and said, “·Teacher [Master], I will follow you any place you go.”
